Our hike that raised £300 for NHS Blackpool Teaching Hospital’s Blue Skies charity!
This summer our team set out to the Lake District to climb Hallin Fell, one of the many challenging Wainrights in Cumbria to raise funds for NHS Blackpool Teaching Hospital’s charity, Blue Skies.
With over 35 years’ experience of designing and manufacturing medical components it should come as no surprise that we are passionate about supporting key health care charities such as Blue Skies.
With determination our journey started at Waterside House Campsite where our team of ten accomplished their first six miles before arriving at the foot of Hallin Fell.
Following refreshments, stretches and a much-needed bit of team encouragement we began our 500ft ascent up the fell with the sun beaming down on us. With breathtaking views of the surrounding fells and Ullswater lake helped pushed us to reach the trig point.
After an obligatory team photo and a picnic lunch, we headed back down the fell feeling accomplished that we had contributed to the important work at Blue Skies, raising £300 from our team.
We look forward to continuing to support Blue Skies in their mission to enhance patient care at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals by taking part in their upcoming events in 2024.
