Multi-Ply walked The Big One and raised £1635 for Shelter!
Specialists in the manufacture of carbon fibre components for medical x-ray support local charity Shelter in their mission to end the housing crisis in the UK.
This September our team braved an escorted climb to the 235ft summit of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s largest rollercoaster to fundraise for Shelter.
Dubbed ‘The Big One’, The Pepsi Max Big One holds the record for being the second tallest roller coaster in the UK, standing at an incredible 71.6 meters tall.
We experienced breath-taking views of the Irish sea and Blackpool’s famous illuminations whilst being tackled by the great northern wind. The construction of The Big One required 4200 tons of steel and is wind resistant; demonstrating the outstanding engineering that went into the fabrication of this attraction.
Shelter is a charity that believes everyone should have a home and we couldn’t agree more. More than 1M people contact Shelter a year for advice and we needed to support them in their mission to end the housing crisis in the United Kingdom.
If you have sponsored one our team members, we are incredibly grateful for your support. We are delighted to announce that Multi-Ply have raised an incredible £1653 for Shelter.
